Shabbat BagsInitiated by Greenwood House as the anchor organization, this partnership includes The Jewish Federation of Princeton Mercer Bucks and Jewish Family & Childrens Services. It ensures that Jewish inpatients at Capital Health Medical Center and Penn Medicine Princeton Medical Center receive weekly Shabbat bags. Approximately 1,000 bags are delivered each year. Tribute DonationsHonoring and memorializing loved ones, Greenwood House friends contributed $24,110 in tribute giftsin 2023. Life and LegacySecuring our viability long into the future is an organizational priority, and Greenwood House has received 34 bequest promises. The Synagogue Fund Appeal raised $2,000 to support the Greenwood House on-site synagogue. The Holiday Fund Appeal raised $7,000 in gratitude to the staff for their dedication and care provided year-round. The fund is distributed equally among our entire staff as a holiday gift. Greenwood House received a $50,000 grant from The Sephardic Foundation on Aging for fall prevention equipment.For the Battle of the Bands encore, the Lets Rock for Greenwood House event was held in a new venue, Newtown Sports Training Center in Newtown, Pennsylvania, on April 29. Over 325 attended, and the event raised over $180,000.
