b'R E H A B I L I T A T I O N S E R V I C E SUnder the direction of AnneMarie Chipowsky, MSPT, the Rehabilitation Department at Greenwood House provides exceptional skilled physical, occupational, and speech therapy services. Residents are screened and evaluated on a continual basis to ensure each individual functions at his or her highest potential. In conjunction with our Nursing Restorative Program, the therapists work to preserve functional gains of mobility once a skilled rehabilitation program is no longer required. Our outpatient census has increased with clients from the community bringing in their prescriptions and stating that Greenwood House is their first choice. The Medicare Part B program has expanded, and the team is hard at work maintaining our residents highest level of function. Our rehabilitation team is thrilled with the rehabilitation gym. It features state-of-the-art equipment including NuStep machines; a NeuroGym Sit-to-Stand Trainer; an OmniCycle, which provides active assistance to both upper and lower extremities; and an OmniStand that improves balance and standing tolerance. This is in addition to a recumbent stationary bike, training stairs with storage, a mat table for treatments, and a SCIFIT machine with a removable base for wheelchair accessibility. Our residents and therapists enjoy the open space and feeling of camaraderie that the gym provides.
