Caring for someone with Alzheimer’s disease and other forms of dementia requires special skills, patience, and understanding. Our team has special training and extensive experience in dementia care for residents with varying degrees of memory decline and is able to provide care in safe, secure, and cheerful surroundings.
Life within our memory care neighborhood offers residents an opportunity to live a meaningful life. Through a program of proper nutrition, programming, social activities, and surroundings, our lifestyle is designed to accommodate the cognitive and functional abilities of each resident.
As with everything we do, our goal is to focus on comfort, dignity and quality of life.
My nearly 87-year-old sister has been under the long-term care of Greenwood House for nearly two years because of conditions including Parkinson’s disease and Dementia. Throughout that period, I have found the staff to be compassionate, considerate and attentive. Importantly, staff has been proactive in monitoring her condition, providing helpful onsite physical and occupational therapy as needed and promptly responsive to my questions and comments. Greenwood House has everything I hoped it would be and none of the things I worried it might be as some facilities, unfortunately, are.
